When: Saturday, March 17, 2007 - 9am to 4pm

Where: Celebration, FL (Orlando), 10-15 minutes or less from any part of the Disney area.

Why: This is the third of what is becoming apopular series of small-group seminars for all ranks. A calendar ofdates and subjects for the first half of 2007 is available atwww.leewedlake.com. Small-group seminars will enable you to get morepersonal instruction in the facets of Kenpo. Open to all ranks aboveage 16.

This month’s subjects: Weapons weekend! Club,knife, and gun defenses. 12 club, five knife, and four gun techniques.Bring your practice weapons – NO LIVE BLADES.

Location: Celebration Hotel. Sabal Room III, 700 Bloom St., Celebration, FL 34747

Flying in/accommodations: Fly into Orlando (MCO). Event is 20 minutes from the airport. We recommend the Celebration Hotel in Celebration. www.celebrationhotel.com. Higher room rates but very nice. Radisson Celebration is not far. Numerous others in all price ranges in the Disney area.

Fees: $120/day for small-group instruction,including handouts and completion certificate. First-timers receive aPDS notebook, recidivists receive Continuing Education supplements.

Additional info: Seminar space is limited to 26students This is a full day of working. Wear appropriate uniform andprotective equipment. Bring your notebook.

Class Description

Club defenses– A detail of techniques for base principles such as the Divert, Seize,Control, Disarm concept, and interchangeability of application andfootwork. We’ll cover all the standard Storm techniques in 3 - 4 hours.

Gun defenses – detail of the four standard Rod techniquesand their variations. Examples of grafting and usage against otherweapons will be included. Gain insights into the strategies used byarmed attackers and practice formulation of techniques for the "thug"grip. 1.5 – 2 hours

Knife defense – detail of the five standard Lance techniques,how to graft them, their application for other attacks, and how theOpen Ended Triangle applies in their use against rapidly changingangles of attack. Especially useful against the experienced knifefighter. 2.5 - 3 hours
